On the morning of August 2, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son, Head of the Standing Division of Special Anti-epidemic COVID-19 of the Ministry of Health in Ho Chi Minh City. Da Nang provides information on 2 deaths of patients with COVID-19.
That was patient 524 (patient 524): LTD, a female, 86 years old, from Quang Nam. Patients with a history of heart failure or chronic kidney failure.
From July 11 – 16, the patient entered the emergency department of Da Nang Dermatology Hospital and was diagnosed with superinfection nerve shingles and transferred to the emergency department of Da Nang Hospital on the same day.
From July 18, the patient showed signs of fever and was referred for treatment at Binh An General Hospital.
On July 27, the patient transferred to Quang Nam Regional General Hospital. On July 31, the patient was transferred to Hue Central Hospital for treatment. On July 31, the patient was dazed and exhausted.
On August 1, the patient was awake, still tired; however, at 6pm the same day, the patient was in a coma, her pulse slowed down; At 22:00 the patient has pulse back.
At 0:00 on August 2, the patient became worse, stopped circulation, breathing. At 5:30 on August 2, the patient died.
Patients diagnosed: Death from infectious shock, intoxication, and acute irreversible respiratory failure in patients with multiorgan failure infected with COVID-19.
The second case is patient 475 (patient 475) DTL, 83 years old, from Da Nang, who entered Da Nang Hospital from 12/7. Patient with a history of polyarthritis in one sitting for 6 years; The patient also had gastric bypass surgery.
On 12/7, the patient onset with symptoms of abdominal pain, diarrhea many times was admitted to treatment at the Department of Internal Medicine of the Danang Hospital. On July 17, the patient had a fever. On July 30, the patient was found positive for SARS-COV-2 and transferred to isolation.
At 4:30 on August 2, the patient was severely exhausted and at 4:45 on August 2, the patient was in a deep coma, at 5:45 am on August 2, the patient died.
Patient 475 was diagnosed with: Death from acute coronary syndrome, cholecystitis, degenerative polyarthritis, hypertension and COVID-19.
