The National Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of Covid-19 said,

– From 6 am on April 16 to 6 am on 24/7: Vietnam has had no cases of infection in the community for 99 days.

– As of 6 a.m. on 24/7: Vietnam has a total of 272 imported cases that are immediately quarantined.

– From 6pm on July 23: 0 new cases.

Number of people isolated: Total number of people in close contact and entry from the epidemic area under medical monitoring (quarantine): 10,336, of which:

– Concentrated isolation at the hospital: 352

– Concentrated isolation at the muscle Other departments: 9,379

– Isolation at home, residence: 605

According to the report of the National Steering Committee for Disease Prevention and Control, Covid-19, so far, there have been 365/412 cases of Covid-19 cases of our country being declared cured, accounting for 88.6% total number of cases. Particularly for foreign patients, up to now, 50 patients with foreign nationality have been cured by Vietnam. There has been no death of a Covid-19 patient so far.

At Ba Ria-Vung Tau General Hospital, 09 cases are being treated; Binh Son District Medical Center – Quang Ngai treated 1 case; Bac Lieu General Hospital 2 cases; General Hospital of Ca Mau province treated 1 case; Le Loi Hospital, Vung Tau City treated 1 case; Nam Dinh General Hospital treating 7 cases; Cau Yen Regional General Clinic, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province, treating 08 cases; Hai Duong Tropical Hospital treated 1 case; Hoa Binh Provincial General Hospital treated 4 cases … Phu Quoc District Medical Center treated 1 case.

Regarding medical work for the flight to welcome more than 200 Vietnamese workers in Equatorial Guinea on July 28, PhD. Pham Ngoc Thach, Director of the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, said that the hospital has completed all stages of manpower and equipment. Accordingly, the hospital sent 2 doctors and 2 nurses to work in the Emergency Department to bring 2 breathing machines, monitoring machines, protective clothing and other medical equipment on the flight to welcome workers back home.

It is known that the flight will welcome about 219 Vietnamese workers in Guinea equatorial to the country, including approximately 120 patients with Covid-19.

Among these patients, there are some cases that are confirmed to have been cured, others with severe development in the past have been hospitalized in Guinea, but now the condition is much better, so despite the trip long flight – about 15 hours but do not worry about the patient’s health on this long flight.

After the plane landed at Noi Bai airport on the afternoon of July 29, all these workers will be transferred to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases for isolation and monitoring. SARS-CoV-2 positive cases will be treated here. The hospital has fully prepared the facilities and medical staff to receive the largest number of patients since the beginning of the pandemic in Vietnam.

Previously, following the Prime Minister’s instructions on the urgent planning of bringing Vietnamese citizens in Equatorial Guinea home, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment – Ministry of Health and representatives of Aviation Corporation Vietnam held a meeting to discuss options for flight medical planning.

At the meeting, the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases said that it was ready to send a group of doctors and nurses specialized in resuscitation and emergency preparation to travel to Guinea to welcome citizens back home.

The Ministry of Health said that three companies with workers and managers working in Equatorial Guinea in Africa sent a notice stating the number of Covid-19 cases among workers and managers.

Under this initiative, high-income and middle-income countries will be able to access vaccines through centralized procurement using aid finance. GAVI will provide financial assistance to low middle income and low income countries to purchase vaccines.
