The National Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention proposed a period of 15 days apart from Da Nang city, from 0:00 on July 27.

On July 25, Acting Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long, Deputy of the National Steering Committee against Covid-19, signed a document to the Prime Minister, proposing many solutions to fight epidemics in Da Nang.

“In the past few days, the Covid-19 epidemic continued to develop complicatedly, especially seriously, the second case of infection from the community in Da Nang city has been recorded”, the official dispatch stated.

Therefore, the Steering Committee requested the Prime Minister to direct the separation of the entire city of Da Nang, according to Directive 16 (March 2020), within 15 days, from 0:00 on July 27.

At the same time, the Steering Committee proposed to blockade all locations where the two patients had been present since July 12. There are limited means of transporting public passengers to and from Da Nang; Only 1 to 2 flights from domestic airports per day are allowed.

All people leaving Danang City must report to the authorities of the destination; home isolation and tested for nCoV. The Steering Committee proposed to the Prime Minister for extensive testing in Da Nang.

Directive 16 on social distance was issued by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on March 31, which requires people not to gather more than 2 people in public.

As of this morning, the country recorded 418 cases of nCoV infection. Two new cases of community infections discovered in Da Nang the past two days are “patient 416” and 418. Of which, “patient 416″ progressed rapidly, requiring ECMO intervention, critical condition, ” patient 418 “also had to ventilate. Two cases in Da Nang have ended the 99-day non-communicable chain in Vietnam.
